Just in one school year, Shepard Academy has had the following honors or excelled in these activities:
- 81 students are enrolled in the 4 year academy
- 26 Juniors earned 9 college credits each...234 college credit hours earned
- 27 Seniors earned 6 college credits each...162 college credit hours earned
- 396 college credit hours earned this year.
- 821 hours of volunteer/service hours for senior Shepard Students.
- 26 students will each be interning a minimum of 126 hours in their chosen career field. For a total of 3276 hours in internships.
- We the People State District Winner
- We the People State competitor-7th in the State!
- Nominated for the Evansville Leadership Award-Government Project category
- Stan Harris Indiana Council for Social Studies Citizen Award.
- 38 students competed in the Senior Division of the 2016 National History Day Southwest Regional contest

- 17 Shepard students participated in 2017 YMCA Youth & Government
